OCR Update – What you need to know about the U.S. Department of Education’s Recent Civil Rights Enforcement

Magnet schools must comply with federal civil rights law.  During the Obama administration, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) has aggressively enforced and interpreted such laws.  This presentation will survey OCR’s key recent guidance and enforcement activity, with the goal of giving participants strategies to take home.
