There are a number of shuttles and regional buses that service O’Hare and Midway International Airports, making it easy for passengers all over the region to travel to and from the airport.

Taxi

There are Taxi Stands at the lower level curb front (outside of Baggage Claim) at each terminal.  For your protection, do not accept rides from drivers outside the cab stand or on the departure level (second level) of the terminal roadways. All taxis should have a working meter to calculate the fare based on time and mileage.

The average fare from the airport to downtown Chicago is: $30-40 from O’Hare and $28-30 from fMidway.  For current fare information, please check the City of Chicago taxi passenger information website.  For wheelchair accessible vehicles, please call 1-855-WAV-1010.

Super Shuttle

Shared ride service is available to those who wish to share a ride and pay a flat rate to certain destinations if multiple parties are available for the trip. https://www.supershuttle.com

Rideshare

Uber and Lyft rideshare services operate from both airports.

NOTE: there are designated areas for Uber and Lyft rideshare pick-up.

Public Transit

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is the most economical option. Passengers may also utilize the Metra and Pace Bus routes.  The CTA offers both train and bus service throughout the City of Chicago. The trains in Chicago are known as the “L”.  You can find detailed CTA bus route information on the CTA’s website.
