Strategic Enrollment Management: The New Framework to Boost Enrollment

Magnet Schools face a growing competitive enrollment environment as families have myriad choices where their children are educated, creating a financial crisis for many institutions. This session will present a new framework called “Strategic Enrollment Management,” which is a systemic approach to creating a positive enrollment trend to foster a sustainable financial position and ultimately, student success. In this session, we’ll highlight the research, theory and framework behind Strategic Enrollment Management, and discuss practical strategies educational leaders can use to align it to their overall strategic plans to increase the attraction and retention of students. These strategies will be presented through the lens of a variety of domains and will include: enhancing marketing and customer service efforts; building a positive school climate; increasing student and family engagement; increasing teacher retention; increasing enrollment operational efficiency; and improving student achievement through instructional coaching and effective school leader support for educators.

5 Pathways to Inspiration and Innovation

Come and join Discovery Education for an engaging and interactive session designed to demonstrate 5 different ways to inspire your students and encourage their innovative spirit. Participants will explore a variety of centers that include innovative strategies and use content that promotes diversity, equity and accessibility for all students. Participants will also engage in roundtable discussions to dive into the concepts of inspiration and innovation, identifying and questioning what is working and learning from each other. Throughout this session, participants will reflect on the activities so that each person leaves with practical and implementable strategies or activities to use in their classroom immediately.
